Bashir Ahmad
Bashir Ahmad (1940-2014) was a film-maker in Bangladesh and Pakistan. He was also a music composer and a film playback singer who reached his peak of success in the 1960s. He is known in Pakistan for making Darshan (1967) which was a hit musical film. He had worked in both Bengali language and Urdu language films. Film Darshan (1967) had a memorable hit song by Mala, " Yeh Samaan Pyaara Pyaara, Yeh Hawaain Thandi Thandi", by composer Bashir Ahmad that became a super-hit film song in 1967 and is still fondly remembered and listened to in 2016 by the people.
