Biography

Tom Bettany is a South Australian filmmaker and also a member of beard-based novelty band The Beards, serving as a songwriter and a bassist. Through his work with The Beards, Tom Bettany has written and directed numerous music video projects and written countless beard-related songs, including If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard You've Got Two Mums.

Bettany was also a member of rock band The Dairy Brothers, and co-wrote the song My Neighbourhood Has Been Overrun by Baboons (Tropfest best composition, 2010). He has also written and co-directed various music videos (Miss My Maniac, My Next Life by Melbourne band Gus & Frank) and co-wrote the music to Itty Bitty Ditties, an ABC 3 children's television series.
