Karla S. Bryant is a published essayist and short story writer who began writing screenplays in 2013. She's written or co-written several produced short scripts

The 2023 Phoenix Film Festival and the 2023 Summer Season Liverpool Indie Awards, both recognized her short script. "Halverson and Halverson," as a Winner. "Don't Tell It On the Mountain" was a Winner at 2023 the Women Over Fifty Film Festival (WOFFF).

Karla often writes about people in midlife, exploring the richness of their layered histories and how they unfold when life takes unexpected turns. She primarily writes dramas, including two feature scripts.
