- Sami Khan is an international award-winning actor known for intense, charismatic leading roles across film and television. He has appeared in over 100 projects and has portrayed a wide range of characters in Pakistani film and television. He has built an extensive body of work, appearing in critically acclaimed and commercially successful projects, with performances that have resonated with audiences both locally and internationally. His work has been featured across global platforms and film festivals.
Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, he studied at Government College Lahore and earned an engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology before transitioning into a full-time acting career.
He began his acting career with the feature film Salakhain. Following his film debut, he transitioned into television, where he established a consistent presence in Pakistani drama. His television credits include Aisi Hai Tanhai (2017), Khudgarz (2017), Inkaar (2019), Saraab (2020), Tinkay Ka Sahara (2022), Pagal Khana (2024), and Duniyapur (2024). In film, Khan has appeared in several Pakistani productions as well as international projects. His film Gumm was screened at international film festivals in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, and India. For his performance in the film, he received Best Actor awards at the Madrid International Film Festival and the Creation International Film Festival. The film was later released on Amazon Prime Video in the United States.
He also received the Best Actor recognition for his role in Devar Bhabhi and won Jury’s Choice and Viewer’s Choice Best Actor awards at the 16th National PTV Awards for the drama Ghar Ki Khatir. Over the course of his career, he has received multiple Best Actor nominations at the Lux Style Awards, IPPA Awards, Pakistan International Screen Awards, and Hum Awards.
His films have had international releases, including Wrong No. 2, which ranked among the highest-grossing Pakistani films of 2019, Yaara Vey, and the American production The Window. In recognition of his contributions to the performing arts, Khan was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan.
