Born in Munich, raised nearby, after school educated at the "Ernst Busch" actor's school in Berlin from 1999 till 2003, Birnstiel played in several german theatres, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Braunschweig, Prinzregententheater München, Wuppertaler Bühnen, Lofft Leipzig, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theater Regensburg and several TV- Films and movies.In 2023 he played at the Zentraltheater Munich and the Münchner Kammeroper as Bassa Selim Birnstiel lives in Munich.
