Tahira Wasti(1944-2012)

Tahira Wasti was a noted TV actress of Pakistan. She was the wife of a fellow TV actor Rizwan Wasti (1937 - 24 January 2011). Tahira Wasti was one of the most recognized face on the Pakistani TV. She started her career in 1968 TV drama serial 'Jaib Katra' (1968), a drama serial based on a short story written by the famous short story writer Saadat Hassan Manto. Then she acted in many Pakistani television dramas that gained her a lot of recognition among the public. She was mainly known for portraying 'regal type' female characters on TV. She was mainly active from 1968 to the late 1990s. She died on 11 March 2012 in Karachi, Pakistan.
