Biography

Andy Devine

Mini bio

  • After hearing the "Thwompf" of the Jurassic Park T. Rex foot in a cinema in 1993 when he was 8 years old, Andy knew he wanted to work in sound. He then spent every summer holiday until the age of 16 completing media and film courses at various colleges around the south of the UK.

Studying a BTEC National Diploma in sound and moving image from the age of 16 to 18 at Bournemouth's Arts Institute and then at Foundation Degree level at Plymouth's College of Art and Design; Andy used his student loans to build a small Pro Tools rig for recording music and completing sound work on the student films.

In 2004 at the age of 19, he started working for Films@59 ltd. Working his way up from runner, to the audio machine room and then finally to Dubbing Mixer (Re-recording mixer).

Andy is now an Emmy© award winning mixer; vastly experienced working across a broad spectrum of genres including drama, documentary and landmark natural history. Including Disney's "A Real Bug's Life", Apple TV's "Prehistoric Planet 1+2", National Geographic's "Incredible Animal Journeys" and Netflix's "Secret Lives of Orangutans".

Andy's focus on client satisfaction, attention to detail and ensuring people have a jolly good giggle, has made him a highly requested mixer.
