Maudy Ayunda is an Indonesian actress and singer-songwriter, known for her multifaceted talent. Maudy debuted her acting career as Rena, the female lead in "Untuk Rena" / "Dear Rena" (2005). She then gained recognition with her breakout role in "Perahu Kertas" / "Paper Boat" (2012). Maudy has since starred in a variety of acclaimed films, including "Refrain" (2013), "Habibie & Ainun 3" (2019) and "Losmen Bu Broto" (2021). Exploring a new genre, Maudy will star in "Para Perasuk" (English title: "Levitating"), an upcoming supernatural drama directed by Wregas Bhanuteja, set to release in 2025.

She described herself as an introvert and a home-person.
After graduating from high school in 2011, she took a gap year despite being accepted to Columbia University. During that time, she made a major breakthrough in her career, landing the iconic role of Kugy in Perahu Kertas and singing the film's soundtrack, Perahu Kertas, which garnered over 128 million plays on Spotify.
She went viral in 2019 after being accepted into two Ivy League universities for her master's degree: Harvard University and Stanford University. She later revealed in an interview with Najwa Shihab that she chose Stanford, where she later earned her double degree.
