Ana Kasparian was born on July 7, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is a producer and writer, known for Hopeless (2010), The Point (2011) and The Young Turks (2005). She has been married to Christian Lopez since November 22, 2015.

Graduated from California State University-Northridge in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Completed her Master of Arts in Political Science in 2010.

Born on July 7, 1986 in Los Angeles, she is the daughter of Armenian immigrant parents and was raised in the Reseda community of the San Fernando Valley.

Graduated from Valley Alternative Magnet High School in Van Nuys, CA, in 2004.

Is very controversial in the Armenian community for her association with Cenk Uygur and the show The Young Turks (2005). The name is highly offensive to the Armenian community because of the historical significance of the term 'Young Turks': In 1908, the political group called the 'Young Turks' came to power in the Ottoman Empire after overthrowing Sultan Abdul Hamid. The main figures of the Young Turk movement, Mehmed Talaat Pasha, Ismail Enver Pasha and Ahmed Djemal Pasha, began a nationalistic Turkification campaign leading up to the events of the Armenian Genocide between 1915-23. The Young Turks organized the systematic extermination of 1.5 million Armenians and other Christians by execution squads, starvation, death marches and other methods. Although the company's founders have denied any linkage to the name's historical significance, it's undeniable that Cenk Uygur had published a college article denying the Armenian Genocide.
