Although born in Bosnia, Amel was raised in Germany and Australia as his family was forced to escape the 1992 genocide in Bosnia. His love for film-making ignited in his early years. Starting at the age of nine, he developed a tradition of watching films every night until he fell asleep, imagining how he would grow up to become a captivating storyteller.
In 2012, Amel saw his dream come to fruition with the international success of his first entirely self-produced documentary film, "2012 Crossing Over: A New Beginning." This feature-length documentary takes viewers on an enigmatic journey, offering a profound perspective on our world's current state and the emergence of a new wave of consciousness. Upon its free release on YouTube, the film quickly went viral, amassing over 4 million views to date.
