Biography

  • Born August 7, 1936 in Leningrad. In 1968 he graduated from the acting department of the Faculty of Dramatic Art LGITMiKa (workshop of Leonid Makariev). He worked in the Ryazan Drama Theater, in the Gorky Drama Theater, in the Leningrad Pushkin Theater. From 1977 he worked as an assistant director, the second director on the Lenfilm film studio. The actor with the brightest comedic talent, became especially popular after playing the main roles in the films directed by Yuri Mamin "Holiday of Neptune", "The Fountain", "Window to Paris". He died in St. Petersburg on March 18, 1994 after a serious illness. Actor was buried near St. Petersburg in the cemetery in the village of Komarovo. The life and creativity of the actor is devoted to the chapter 14 of the cycle "To Remember" by Leonid Filatov.
