Truen Pence

Trained in fine art but driven by stories, Truen migrated to motion pictures through design, motion graphics and experimentation with stop-motion photography. Pence began his filmmaking career by building a small company with a couple of co-workers and a camera. Their company started small by making short films and commercials and eventually a feature documentary. His work led Pence to Instrument where he is currently the filmmaker for the digital agency. Client work includes Nike, Google, TedX, YouTube, Levis as well as storytelling projects, such as The Build, an interactive documentary film about custom motorcycle builders in Portland, OR. The film and website received praise and was accepted into numerous film festivals as well as shortlisted for Adobe's Cutting Edge Website of the Year.
