John Henion was born on June 23, 1976 in Ithaca, NY. John is best known for his work as a producer, director or showrunner on a variety of documentary series including Welcome to Wrexham (2022), The Playbook (2020), Dear... (2019), Fearless (2016), Chef's Table (2015) and The Pecos League (2013).

John got his start directing and producing the Peabody, Livingston and Dupont award winning investigative Documentary series, Vanguard for Al Gore's Current TV.
