He holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, is a Nationally Registered EMT, holds U.S. Coast Guard captain credentials, and is a UK-trained Diver Medic. His background also includes public, private, nonprofit, and federally coordinated disaster-response and recovery operations involving hurricanes, flooding, maritime incidents, environmental cleanup, technical rescue, and mass-casualty support, including Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon response.
