Travis has three children, all fathered before his 21st birthday. His eldest was born when Travis was only sixteen.

Travis had been evicted from his apartment and was within days of being laid off from an office job when he decided to take a risk and try to produce Raymond Did It.

Travis attended Rock Valley College with Robert J. Williams, and in fact was in the same film history class with him, however, the two did not speak until nearly a year later, when Robert took a gig editing Nation Undead: Kept. Robert and Travis have since worked on several projects together.

During his teenage years Travis was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. After several years of medications that seemed to only create side effects Travis resubmitted to the diagnostic process at age 21 and was found to not, in fact, have Bipolar Disorder.

Travis has expressed interest in creating a film-based community in Rockford, Illinois. Seeing the impact that the film industry has had on the Detroit, Michigan economy, Travis hopes to make movies in his current hometown, and hopefully assist the failing Rockford economy in the process.

Travis has written two independent comic book miniseries Reckoning (an homage to late 1970's revenge films) and Corpus Christie and the Cape Girls (the story of a girl who is so Goth that she is dead).

An avid user of Twitter, the majority of Travis's film industry connections, including several cast members of Raymond Did It, were the result of friendships and conversations formed on the micro-blogging site.

Travis has always pushed the boundaries of community decency standards. At age eleven, his band was kicked offstage at a function in Mauston, Wisconsin's Riverside Park for playing a cover of the Misfits song "Last Caress".

Travis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, from age 13 until his excommunication at age 16. The reason he was kicked out: not paying a tithe.

Travis spent many years reading Fangoria Magazine and studying make-up FX techniques. He often acts as a make-up artist on his own films.
