Biography

Stephen Edwards is a film, television and stage actor whose journey began at an early age. His love for the arts started in grade school when he heard his music teacher play an acoustic guitar and he was immediately hooked. He is a self taught piano player and sang in many choirs throughout the state of Connecticut. He first began under the tutelage of Organist Eleanor Fulton who saw he loved the arts. She taught him the art of song, as well as playing instruments and performing on stage in many school productions.

Stephen continued to pursue music, band, singing, and theatre throughout his education working with local Connecticut teachers and performers such as Francine Jackson, Harriet Milnes, Vincent Panzo, Sam Oliver, Colon Haywood.

He returned to acting as an adult working with writers and directors on film, TV and stage. Recently touring with the gospel stage play "STUCK" with director/writer/producer Ylonda Powell-Medley.

Besides being a performing artist, he is an author of two books, "The Actors Bible, Beginning Guide For New Actors", as well as the book "Inspiration".

Stephen has written/directed and produced 2 web-series. He is developing his screenplay "UNITED" with co-writer KirkRyan McFarland as well as his stage play "A Family Affair" written by himself along with Loretta Lawson-Dickerson.

When he is not acting, he mentors new actors about the business as well as coaches them on acting techniques and business strategy.
