Selana Vronti is a journalist and filmmaker whose work spans cultural reporting, documentary cinema, and artistic video. For many years, she worked as a cultural editor for leading newspapers and magazines in Greece. In parallel with her journalism career, she directs documentaries and art videos that have been screened at film festivals and exhibitions both in Greece and internationally.
She studied Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University and holds two postgraduate degrees-one in documentary filmmaking and another in digital arts, the latter from the Athens School of Fine Arts.
Her video Song to the Sirens (2015), commissioned by the Greek band Mechanimal for their song of the same name, was screened at the Onassis Cultural Centre as part of the event Something's Up with the Greek Family. Her most recent film, The Apartment Building (2020), explores the Greek model of mass housing in the context of the economic, energy, and housing crisis.
