Writing credits include "Unsinkable" an 11 episode Audio Movie starring Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Brian Cox and John Malkovich. He has written and produced web series, short films and features. He has created several TV series.

- John is from a long acting dynasty: grandson of actress Ena Grossmith. Great-grandson of actor/manager/writer George Grossmith, whose brother was actor Lawrence Grossmith. Great-great-grandson of Gilbert and Sullivan actor George Grossmith who, with his brother Weedon Grossmith, wrote The Diary of a Nobody (2007).
