Isaiah Stratton

Isaiah Stratton is an American actor known for his grounded intensity, sharp comedic timing, and authentic portrayals of military and law enforcement characters. Born in Ohio to two schoolteachers, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in speech performance and writing. During his college years, he solidified his passion for the theatre, playing multiple roles including Christian in Cyrano de Bergerac.
While completing his studies, Isaiah served in the Marine Corps Reserves before transitioning to active duty and being stationed at Marine Corps Base Quantico. He completed his service with an honorable discharge at the rank of Sergeant.
Isaiah's first television appearance was as a police officer on Nashville (2012). Casting directors quickly recognized his natural fit for authoritative roles, leading to a recurring arc on Homeland (2011) opposite Mandy Patinkin and Jake Weber, as well as a memorable confrontation with Julia Garner on Ozark (2017).
His experience portraying police officers has culminated in his current recurring role as the sardonic, mustachioed Officer O'Hara on Will Trent (2023). Introduced in the series’ pilot episode opposite Ramón Rodríguez and Jake McLaughlin, Isaiah's sarcastic yet competent O'Hara has remained a reliable presence throughout all four seasons.
In between working on Will Trent (2023), Isaiah put his mustache to good use portraying a young version of Michael O'Neill in a recurring guest star role as a heartbroken father on Netflix's Echoes (2022) opposite Tyner Rushing.
Isaiah starred as the titular lead in the gritty western feature Potter's Ground (2021). He plays a gunslinger forced to face the demons of his past. His work in the western genre also brought him to House of the Righteous (2014), cast as a stoic deputy opposite Edward James Olmos, as well as The Warrant (2020) playing a deadly sniper opposite Neal McDonough and Casper Van Dien.
Isaiah guest starred on MacGyver (2016) as a special forces commander, showcasing his extensive stunt experience in an action-packed episode. He again drew on his military expertise in HBO's The Sympathizer (2024), portraying a Green Beret opposite Robert Downey Jr., David Duchovny, and John Cho.
He recurred on the final season of Queen of the South (2016) opposite Hemky Madera and Molly Burnett playing their ill-fated neighbor whose military instincts lead him into deadly territory.
In BAFTA Award winning director Christopher Morris's film The Day Shall Come (2019), Isaiah worked opposite Anna Kendrick and Denis O'Hare as a taciturn FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader navigating a volatile standoff. In a full-circle moment, he returned to the world of Quantico playing a recurring role as FBI trainee Evans in Class of '09 (2023) along with Brian Tyree Henry, Kate Mara, Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, and Jake McDorman.
Isaiah's military training in firearms and martial arts makes him an ideal collaborator for stunt coordinators. Off-screen, he balances his tough guy roles with a quiet side: he's an avid reader (especially anything by Stephen King) and enjoys a nice glass of whiskey.
