Biography

Yusuf Sumer was born in Turkey in 1988.

He graduated from University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts in 2009.

Following his graduation, Sumer gained international recognition for his short films and won multiple awards in film festivals. Combining his passion for music and his love for cinema, Sumer directed music videos both in Los Angeles and in his home town Istanbul. In 2016, Sumer started his own film production company, Sekoya Film, in Istanbul.
