- Josette is an Filipinx actor, voice actor, writer, and educator. A Canadian Screen Award winner for Best Supporting Performer in a Children's or Youth Program (Ruby and The Well), she has also been nominated for Best Writing in Animation (Galapagos X) and Best Voice Performance (Open Season: Call of Nature). Josette's on-screen and stage talents have earned her a Leo Award nomination for Best Lead Performance in a Feature Film (Attic Trunk) and a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award nomination for her role in Play with Monsters. She also originated the role of Nora/Norah in Bad Parent, a two-hander by Kim's Convenience creator Ins Choi.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Josette now lives and works in Toronto.
Her notable TV and film credits include the Emmy Award-winning Schitt's Creek (CBC/PopTV), Saint-Pierre (CBC), Settle Down (CBC/OutTV), Law & Order Toronto (CityTV), Mistletoe Murders (Hallmark), Twisted Neighbor (Tubi), The Z-Suite (Tubi), Rabbit Hole (Paramount+), Jane (AppleTV+), Dino Dex (TVO), Ruby and the Well (Family Channel), The Stanley Dynamic (YTV), and Salvation (CBS).
Her voice work includes popular animated series such as Paw Patrol and Rubble and Crew (Nickelodeon), My Little Pony (Netflix), Abby Hatcher (Netflix), Open Season: Call of Nature (Family Channel), Transformers: BotBots (Netflix), and Bakugan (Corus).
Josette holds a degree in Theatre Performance from Simon Fraser University and trained at The Second City. She met her husband, Fane Tse, while performing live sketch comedy. Together, they co-founded Ivy Speech Arts Academy, an after-school drama program for youth, and Ivy Acting Studios, a professional training program for actors.

- I always thought it was a disadvantage to be the sensitive kid, to cry and show emotion. Especially in an Asian family, you don't have many opportunities to do that, and when you do you're scolded. I was being bullied in school, and after school I would just sit down at the piano and I wouldn't be able to get through a song because I would cry. But my teacher was amazing. Mr. Kerry would say, 'Just close you eyes and play. If tears come out, tears come out'.
