Biography

Originally from Seattle's Central District, Mariana got her start working with Reel Grrls, an organization for female and gender non-conforming youth in film. She earned her BA in Broadcast Media and Film Arts at the Evergreen State College. From there she worked as everything from a pit cam operator at concerts to a producer in-house at a creative agency, and recently the Set Decorator for a Sofia Coppola film. With more than a decade of experience in the film industry, her deep understanding of design, multi-medium art and construction compliments her comprehensive knowledge of film production. As a Production Designer and Art Director in the Bay Area, Mariana has had the honor of collaborating on feature films, documentaries and commercials alike.
