Biography

Daniel Catarino is a Portuguese singer-songwriter who released his first album in 2006. He also plays in Portuguese bands Uaninauei, Bicho do Mato, Cajado, Alentexas, O Rijo and Ao Lado, and used the monikers Long Desert Cowboy, Oceansea and Landfill for his solo output until 2014 Daniel also contributed to the soundtrack of such movies as The Cosmonaut, Virga, La Balacera en la Canchita, Animali in Via d'Espiazione, as well as several health awareness campaigns. Catarino made his directorial debut in 2018 with "Omitted Commitment", a no-budget film shot entirely on a smartphone. The movie premiered at the African Smartphone International Film Festival 2018.
