Cassandra was born in southeast Michigan on July 18th, 1979. She grew
up on the east side of the state (Troy), and eventually went to work
for the parents of Sam Raimi at a local retail shop. There she spent
several years before moving to the greater Grand Rapids area. The film
incentives put into place by then-Governor Jennifer Granholm brought
big productions to the west side of the state, which gave Cassandra her
first real opportunities to work in the film industry.
