Biography

Valentina Ghetti is an Italian screenwriter and director whose work explores the relationship between performance, storytelling and human identity. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience as a professional actress, she has developed an authorial approach in which character creation begins with the actor and evolves into original cinematic and theatrical narratives.

Her screenwriting credits include the feature film Double Soul, starring Danny Glover, F. Murray Abraham, Paz Vega and the late Julian Sands, and Blue, directed by Eleonora Puglia and distributed by PiperFilm. Her work is distinguished by psychologically layered characters and stories that transform lived experience into emotionally resonant fiction.

Alongside her work in film, Ghetti created the Ghetti Method®, an original approach to actor training that combines performance techniques with character development and original writing. She later expanded this research through the Sublimating Laboratories®, an original creative framework in which actors develop and perform new theatrical works inspired by autobiographical experience.

Working across cinema and theatre, Ghetti investigates the point where personal experience becomes narrative. Her work is driven by a continuing interest in identity, memory and human relationships, exploring how authentic experience can be shaped into stories that resonate beyond the individual.
