Biography

Sebastián Hernández is a Colombian film editor and producer whose work spans fiction, documentary, and television. A three-time winner of the Colombian Academy’s Macondo Award for Best Editing, he most recently edited Netflix’s One Hundred Years of Solitude: Part Two. His credits include The Kings of the World, winner of the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival, and Green Frontier. His documentary work includes The Boy from Medellín, Diamond Hands, and the Apple TV+ series Omnivore. He is a co-founder of Ruvrika, a Bogotá-based production and post-production company. Through Ruvrika, he made his debut as a producer with Transition, which premiered at Tribeca in 2023. He previously served on the board of TEMPO, the international federation of film editors.
