Charles McDowell was born on 24 June 1926 in Danville, Kentucky, USA. He was an actor, known for Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), The Battle of Local 5668 (2007) and The Civil War (1990). He was married to Ann Lewis Webb. He died on 5 November 2010 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Webb McDowell, two daughters-Jennifer M. McDowell Pellegrini of Potomac, Maryland and Catie McDowell of Boulder, Colorado, and a son, William McDowell of Missoula, Montana.

He graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor&#39;s Degree and a Master&#39;s degree from the Columbia University School of Journalism in New York City.
