Has a Bachelor of Business Science degree from Coastal Carolina University. While at CCU held office as Student Body Vice President, was served a couple seasons as a cheerleader, and joined Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

Kama' Aina Born in Wahiawa, HI. Where his father, step mother, siblings, and tons of Filipino/pacific islander family members still live. Moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina right before grade school.

Performer in the 2004 ABC Diversity Showcase along with fellow actors: Brenda Noell, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Joey Auzenne, Khan Baykal, Chadwick A. Boseman, Monique G. Hart, Joe Holt, Jimena Hoyos, Yasmin Kazi, Susan Kim, Terrence Mitchell, Alfredo Narciso, Shawn Passwaters, Tuffy Questell, Denise Ramirez and Dilshad Vadsaria.

Studied at The William Esper Studio while living in New York City.

On January 7th 2011, marking his 7th year in NYC, at 7am on the 7 train Shawn survived a brutal fall on the NYC metro subway track.
