Nancy Jo Sales is the director and producer of Swiped: Hooking Up in the Digital Age (2018), a documentary about online dating. A longtime writer for Vanity Fair, Nancy Jo is also the New York Times bestselling author of American Girls: Social Media and the Secret Lives of Teenagers (2016); The Bling Ring (2013), the basis for the Sofia Coppola film of the same name; and the memoir Nothing Personal (2021). She has written investigative features, columns and celebrity profiles for the Guardian, Air Mail, Harper's Bazaar and many other publications. She lives in New York City and is the mother of Zazie May Sales.
