- Max Lalanne was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, near Paris, France to Chinese-American fashion designer mother and French artist father, and moved to New England with his family at a young age. He started writing, directing and editing spec commercials when he was 11, often act in front of the camera as well. In 2010 at age 13, Max made his first narrative Sci-Fi short, the 18-minute Awakening. Awakening went on to win a Gold Remi Student Film Award at the WorldFest-Houston and was screened at the Monaco International Charity Film Festival the following year. Max has since made several other short films and has been spending part of his college years at the Sorbonne in Paris studying Film.

- He is fluent in French, and follows a French curriculum as well as the American one.
- Like his older brother and sister, he has never eaten red meat in his life. He is mostly vegetarian except for occasional chicken and fish.
