Biography

In cinematography, Daniel Xavier has over two decades of experience on international sets - including Australia, Angola, Congo, Tunisia, Italy, France, USA, Mexico, and all Brazilian regions - In nearly 20 years as a camera assistant, he contributed to more than 60 features and about 200 commercials. He currently works as a director of photography and cinema camera operator.

Responsible for the images (main cam unit) on the films: Mussum, o Filmis (4 awards at the 2024 Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro, 7 awards at the 2023 Gramado Festival, including Best Picture), O Paciente - O Caso Tancredo Neves (7 nominations at the 2019 Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro), Por Nossa Causa, A Porta ao Lado, ...
