Biography

Devon, a refugee child of mixed Vietnamese and Chinese heritage, carried within her a deep sense of not belonging and an enduring belief that she was never quite good enough to pursue her true passions.

For Devon, the drive to rewrite the narrative stems from a deeply personal place. She carries within her the memories of her humble beginnings as a child in Vietnam, a time when she clung to her mother's embrace, patiently waiting in the mud for days on end, yearning for a chance to escape for a better life.

These memories, etched in her heart, fuel her unwavering belief that no matter where one comes from, extraordinary things are possible when you grant yourself permission to thrive and fully immerse yourself in the journey.

Despite encountering discrimination, even from within her own industry circles, Devon remained steadfast in her commitment to her cause. She recognized the pressing need to bridge the market gap for modern-day Asian leads.

Devon wrote and performed her original songs in TV and movies, including a Martin Scorsese film. She is in Netflix's hit series, Bling Empire, where her love story unfolds with the show's lead, Kevin Kreider. Recently, Devon and Kevin started their own production company, ALLS Productions, to tell Asian-Lead Love Stories. Their first music video project "Talk About" for a song Devon wrote will premiere this fall. Two of Devon's short films (one of which she wrote and directed), MIA and Air, will soon follow.

As she continues to pursue her passion, Devon remains dedicated to the power of movie-making and storytelling. She acknowledges the immense potential of sharing authentic narratives and the ability to connect with audiences on a profound level. Through her craft, she aims to spark meaningful conversations, foster understanding, and empower individuals to embrace their own extraordinary journeys.
