Biography

Dinos Machairas is a Greek director of photography and camera operator whose career spans film, television and advertising. He trained at the Evgenia Hatzikou Film School and built a reputation through his work as a Steadicam operator, underwater camera operator and drone operator. After early experience at View Studio, he worked for many years as a freelancer and also ran his own production and crane hiring companies. His film credits include the documentaries Koupapiti - Lefkos anthropos mesa se vathia trypa (2007) and No Name - Anonymoi Syrou (2004) and the short film Other Side (2003). He has collaborated on a wide range of television shows for major Greek broadcasters and contributed to hundreds of music videos with leading directors. His professional portfolio also includes commercial work for prominent brands and agencies. Outside his professional activity he enjoys climbing, hiking, marathon running and scuba diving.
