Jou-chia (Jo) Huang is a Taiwanese filmmaker, photographer and avid
environmentalist. After finishing her degree in filmmaking at Shih-Hsin
Universiy in Taipei, Taiwan, she immersed herself in the independent
artist group- CAMPO, to help produce and design many creative projects
such as short films, music videos and film/art events. After two years
of independent artist work, Jo moved to Austin, Texas to pursue
advanced studies in filmmaking, focusing on directing and producing.
She graduated with an MFA in Film Production from the University of
Austin at Texas in December of 2011. Her work has been screened in film
festivals both in the States and in Taiwan. As a director, her work
focuses on the life of the everyday person, their personal journeys in
this world and within themselves.
