Juan Javier Cardenas is a conservatory-trained actor known for his incredibly versatile portfolio of visceral, intense, and enigmatic character performances. As a deeply committed and studied performer, Juan first rose to prominence as the character of Alejandro in FX’s gritty, 80’s crime drama "Snowfall", as well as the character Lew Nez in USA Network’s dark, period western "Damnation." His penchant for portraying conflicted and multidimensional characters lead him to portraying the infamously pivotal villain Dante in AMC’s "The Walking Dead." More starring roles in HBO Max’s "The Gordita Chronicles," CBS’ "The Equalizer" and "S.W.A.T.", and other programs over a 15-year career, showcase his strengths as an incredibly transformative actor. It is this passion for the cinematic arts that continues to push Juan to always dig deep, exploring the fascinating complexity of characters upon the screen.
