- LuvLeighAn Clark is an independent producer, writer, and filmmaker with over a decade of experience working in film, television, and live theatre. She has worked in a wide range of production roles, including Producer on student short films, Writer, Director, Set Production Assistant, Office PA, Accounting Clerk, Security, and background performer.
Raised in the foster care system after being removed from her biological family at the age of three and later removed from an adoptive placement at thirteen, Clark lived in more than 25 placements before aging out of foster care. She experienced homelessness after leaving the system. She walked from Michigan to California at the age of twenty to pursue a career in the show business.
Clark first entered the show business as background actor in 1998 before transitioning into theatre in 2002, where she spent several years working on stage productions while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre. Although she initially pursued acting.In 2007 she discovered a stronger passion for behind-the-scenes work and producing.
Clark attended film school in 2010 to further develop her production and storytelling skills. During her training, she developed strengths in production planning, budgeting, project development, and identifying stories with strong audience and emotional potential. One professor described her as having a natural instinct for recognizing the "it factor" in stories and helping shape projects to reach that level. in 2025 she started her MFA in producing, and has been producing her own short films and other student short films.
Her work is heavily influenced by her experiences as a disabled, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, complex PTSD, and physical disabilities filmmaker. Clark often explores themes of identity, trauma, survival, empathy, and human connection through her projects. She believes film has the power to entertain while also encouraging audiences to reflect on how they treat one another and better understand perspectives different from their own.
In addition to drawing inspiration from real-life experiences, Clark frequently develops stories inspired by vivid dreams and unconventional concepts, blending emotional realism with imaginative storytelling.
Clark has completed multiple short films, with several additional narrative and documentary projects currently in development. She is also the founder of Goddess Productions and is working toward building it into a nonprofit production company focused on helping underrepresented and disadvantaged creatives gain access to opportunities in the show business.
Outside of filmmaking, Clark enjoys painting, writing, and exploring various forms of visual and creative arts.
