Biography

Kat Mills Martin is a critically acclaimed director and writer from Hawai'i. Kat was selected to be a Directing Fellow by Women in Film in 2023. She is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied experimental theater, dance, and cinema. Her work has screened at Raindance Film Festival, Inside Out Toronto, Cinequest, LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, and Hawai'i International Film Festival, among others. Kat's award-winning debut feature Wake Up, Leonard screened at 20+ film festivals worldwide and is now streaming on Amazon Prime and AppleTV+. Kat is the founder of Studio Norté, a creative studio based in Los Angeles.
