Biography

Brigitte Gauthier is a French screenwriter, creative producer and script consultant with more than thirty years of international experience in film, television and cultural projects. Her work focuses on literary adaptation, intercultural storytelling, creative development and international co-production.

She holds an MFA in Film from Columbia University and a PhD in Film Studies from La Sorbonne. She is currently a Full Professor at Université Paris-Saclay, where she teaches and conducts research in screenwriting, adaptation and transmedia storytelling.

An Expert Evaluator for the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, she has also served for more than a decade as a screenplay jury member for the Socially Relevant Film Festival New York.

Her recent projects include The Oracle of Cairo, a feature thriller currently in development as an international co-production. She also co-wrote Exile from Heaven with Silvano de Gennaro, adapted from a text by Nando Bodha.

Alongside her writing and producing activities, she contributes to script development initiatives, writers' workshops and international creative collaborations, notably through The Writers Forest Loft.
