Chris Hazel is an assistant professor in TV production at the University of Bradford, where he's been since October 2012.
Chris worked as a TV production lecturer at the National Science and Media Museum (then known as the National Media Museum) also in Bradford, from August 2007 to October 2013.
Chris has worked in many production roles for the BBC. He's worked as a cameraman on drama and factual programmes, has directed, engineered, and travelled all over. Chris did that from August 1984 until August 2007 when he decided to have a change.
Chris loves TV related work and likes to be sure that he's teaching the current stuff, so still squeezes in shifts as a casual at the BBC and on independent stuff, if he can find time.
Chris' interests outside the TV bubble include sewing (yes, sewing), making clothes, making furniture, interior design, watching films and all that family stuff that dads do.
