Biography

Dave Holton is a Writer-Director-Producer and Visual Storyteller with experience across film, television, theatre, and new media. Holton holds an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Producing certificate from UCLA Extension, and he has worked as a creative producer, line producer, and assistant director on projects ranging from features to music videos, and as a script reader for clients including Amazon Studios. Formerly a corporate consultant specializing in logistics and business strategy, and earlier, a civil engineer managing multi-million-dollar bridge construction projects, he transitioned into entertainment a decade ago to follow his passion for storytelling.

His short film "Some Sh*t" won "Best Mockumentary Microfilm" at the Austin Comedy Film Festival, and his short story "The Lightning Jar" earned him recognition as an "Emerging Voice in Fiction" by Oyster River Pages. On stage, he performed in the 84th season of "The Lost Colony" outdoor drama while serving as Assistant Technical Director, showcasing his versatility. Combining creative vision, technical expertise, and business acumen, Holton excels at guiding projects from development through post-production. He is focused on writing, developing, and producing innovative projects that reflect a cross-cultural perspective and leverage his multidisciplinary skill set.
