1989 A-levels at the grammar school in Weilheim; 1989 to 1995 studied sociology at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich; graduated as a sociologist in 1995.

1996 to 2001 commercial manager and 2001 to 2005 managing director of a mechanical engineering company.

1986 joined the Junge Union; 1990 to 1997 district chairman of the Junge Union; since 1990 member of the CSU; 1999 to 2011 local chairman of the CSU; since 2009 district chairman of the CSU Weilheim-Schongau; 2009 to 2013 secretary general of the CSU.

1996 to 2011 market town councilor in Peißenberg; 1996 to 2018 district councilor in Weilheim-Schongau.
