  • Meni Philip, has established a name for himself as an extraordinarily successful filmmaker, capturing the attention and imagination of audiences with numerous high-profile productions that have been produced and distributed by major Israeli and U.S. production companies. Meni Philip is an international award-winning director, writer, and editor, whose films have screened widely at international film festivals and won numerous awards. His short film Sinner premiered at the 2009 Venice Film Festival and received the award for Best European Short Film, and was nominated at the European Film Academy Awards. In the following years, Sinner screened at over 50 international film festivals. Meni Philip has also substantially impacted Israeli society with his film Let There Be Light, an autobiographical documentary film about leaving the ultra-Orthodox world to a modern and secular lifestyle. Meni Philip has also worked in collaboration with some of the most reputable directors and producers in the world, including two-time Oscar nominee, producer David Mandil, two-time Oscar nominee for his films Bufort and Footnote, Joseph Cider, Avi Nesher, and Udi Aloni, director and one of the Jury Members at the Berlin Film Festival. Meni is a Jury Member at the prestigious Santa Barbara Jewish Film Festival, and has worked as co-director with the well known screenwriter James Kahn (All My Children, Star Trek: Voyager, Melrose Place, the novelization of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.)
