  • Zippy is a Kenyan Filmmaker who has been working in the global industry for over a decade. She has worked on both fiction and Non-Fiction projects filmed in over 20 countries across continents - as a Producer/Director/Editor.

    In 2013, Zippy co-directed a short Documentary, 'a fork, a spoon & a KNIGHT' with renowned Director Mira Nair - for MontBlanc/Tribeca Film Institute/Nelson Mandela Foundation, and in 2016, worked as the 1st Asst. Editor for the Disney Film 'Queen of Katwe'. She has created content for various clients including Universal Studios (Singapore), Action Horizons Stunts Company (LA/Japan), Six Toes & TBWA (Singapore), British council and most recently, 12 Documentaries for Standard Chartered Bank.

    Her short films have screened Internationally and received various nominations including a win for producing 'Manilla Running', which screened at the DGA (LA), and her mandarin film 'Mothers Song' received a great review from Hollywood Director, Oliver Stone during an NYU screening.

    Zippy holds a Diploma in Mass Communication (TV), a Degree in Public Administration (HR) and a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA- Film) from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts - Asia. She continues to work as an Independent Director as well as managing a Film Collective and Production company Afrofilms International Ltd - based in Nairobi, Kenya
