Biography

Brenda King is an actor and intimacy coordinator. She grew up in New Jersey and spent over two decades in Los Angeles working across film and television, as well as in music videos for Selena Gomez, N.E.R.D., No Doubt, Passion Pit, Alice in Chains, Twin Shadow, Simian Mobile Disco, Active Child, among others, as well as the CW series Stupid Hype.

Alongside her on-camera work, King is the author of the memoir On Her Knees: Memoir of a Prayerful Jezebel (2021) and the former host of the God is Grey and In the Grey podcasts, where she spent years in conversation about faith, sexuality, and the space between certainty and doubt.

Her work as an intimacy coordinator sits alongside her performance career, and she is developing an East Coast production initiative focused on humane working conditions and consent-centered filmmaking.
