- Gehan Cooray was born on October 6, 1987 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is an actor and producer, known for The Billionaire (2020), The Land of Oz (2015) and The Summer We First Met (2015).
- Following the British system of education, Gehan completed his G.C.E Advanced Level Examination at St. Joseph's College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which is where he schooled. His A Level subjects included French, English Literature and Drama and Theatre.
- Classically trained Baritone.
- USC School of Theatre Alum. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern California, in May 2009. Minored in Cinema-Television and Psychology.
- Sang the role of the villainous Count Almaviva in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro", while directing the production of this opera.
- Played the role of Gaston in the stage musical version of Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'.
