  • Nick Kocsis has primarily created static props and art objects for sale to private collectors for close to 30 years as well as contributing prosthetic special makeup effects for film, television, music videos and live performances. Nick's early career began in Melbourne, Australia in 1992 after receiving a certificate of Makeup Artistry through Flagstaff College Melbourne. Shortly after relocating to Brisbane, Queensland where he gained work through various creatives and freelance agencies attached to Warner Brothers Movie World Studios. Nick worked on various art projects and live performances with Brisbane filmmakers and the AFTRS, also freelancing for Gold Coast special makeup effects company PRO-FX as a casual crew member performing sculpture and lab work for film productions from 1994-96. Nick returned to Melbourne in 1997 and has since been involved primarily with independent Melbourne filmmakers and videographers throughout the 2000's on over 40 positions across the spectrum of film production including television commercials, feature films, shorts, video installations and photographic work for print. Nick worked as a sculptor and lab technician on 2008's DYING BREED, produced by Sydney based ONE Media. As of 2025, Nick still contributes freelance special makeup effects services almost exclusively for emerging digital independent media and creatives in Melbourne as well as continuing to produce collectors sculpture pieces and character displays for private clients.
