  • Elia is a native New Yorker and the proud founder of the Yale School of Drama Women's Coalition. She received her undergraduate degree from the of University of Southern California and her MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 2014 where she wrapped up her time playing Rosalind in Adras Visky's production of As You Like It. Since graduating, Elia has worked on Ira Sachs' Little Men, Collateral Beauty starring Will Smith, The Affair, The Following, Search Party, Person of Interest, Madam Secretary as well as Stephen Adly Guirgis's Between Riverside and Crazy at A.C.T.

    Elia has also received her Masters in Childhood Education from Pace University and has taught in schools across NYC, as well as abroad in Tanzania and more recently, China. She is also a co-founder of her own theatre company, Old Sound Room.

    When she is not acting or teaching she loved to read, dance, and sleep in her childhood bedroom in the East Village. She is also a maker and is often wearing at least one of her own creations. She is a fan of Hip-Hop, The Economist, meatballs, Fashion Police and Chekhov.
  • Daughter of Elisa Monte who who left Martha Graham's dance company in 1982 to run her own troupe, the Elisa Monte Dance Company in New York City and David Brown, who was also a dancer.
