Biography

Matt Fowler is an award winning stage, screen, and voice actor. Recent on screen appearances include his portrayal of Ronnie in the Academy Award Nominated film One Night in Miami directed by Regina King, a recurring role as The Broker in MacGyver on CBS, and NBC's Council of Dads. He also recently voiced recurring characters for long running anime series One Piece, the Netflix original animated series Legend Quest: Masters of Myth, and voiced The Sleeping Dragon in the video game Dynasty Warriors 9 from Koei Tecmo. Matt was brought up in Vermont. He enjoys woodworking, fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Matt Fowler is a multi-award winning stage and screen actor, producer, writer/director, and educator with more than 70 credits spanning the last decade. He has worked in front of and behind the camera for networks such as CBS, NBC, Netflix, Disney +, Universal, Discovery, Paramount +, Oxygen, Investigation Discovery, Koei Tecmo, Crunchy Roll, TruTV and more. Recent appearances include the Academy Award nominated film One Night in Miami, directed by Regina King, recurring roles in MacGyver, and animated series' One Piece, and Legend Quest: Masters of Myth on Netflix. Recent accolades include Best Actor awards at the Hollywood Forever Film Festival, ME Film Festival, and North Hollywood Cinefest. He has also directed and acted in more than 40 dubbed titles for foreign language film and television including IP Man: Kung Fu Master, Sloborn, The Whistlers and more.

Matt is also the creator of two popular audio dramas, Space Ward and The Veil Audio Drama that have combined total downloads of more than two million; and his latest feature screenplay Europa Ascending was a Stowe Story Lab/Studio SKYFIRE fellowship finalist, a semi-finalist at Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival, and in top tenth percentile of all submissions to the Academy Nicholl Fellowship.
