Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Steven Mango is a SAG-AFTRA actor based in Los Angeles, known for his sharp comedic instincts, versatile character work, and resilience both on and off screen.

Originally from Saugus, Massachusetts, Steven discovered acting as both a joyful outlet for performing and making people laugh, and a much-needed escape from the bullying he endured during his teenage years. He began taking weekend on-camera classes at Boston Casting and, by 16, was flying to Los Angeles for pilot season and meeting with agents and managers. At 18, he made the permanent move to Hollywood in 2009 to fully pursue a career in film and television.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), graduating in 2013. His professional training includes scene study with Margie Haber, Annie Grindlay, and Ivana Chubbuck, along with completion of General Hospital casting director Mark Teschner's master class focused on daytime television. He also studied sketch and improv comedy at Second City and completed commercial training at Ross Lacy & Alyson Horn's The Commercial Class, Killian's Workshop, and Mike Pointer's Hey! I Saw Your Commercial.

He appeared in a memorable co-star role on The Late Late Show with James Corden, playing James' eccentric "Kombucha Guy" in a featured comedy segment. Steven also starred in Louis Theroux's BBC documentary My Scientology Movie, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was produced by Oscar winner Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man). After being introduced to Scientology through a "free acting class," Steven ultimately left the organization and released the viral exposé Inside the Scientology Celebrity Centre: An Ex-Parishioner Reveals All, which garnered several million views on YouTube. The documentary caught the attention of director John Dower and led to his collaboration with Theroux on the critically acclaimed feature.

A comedic actor with a grounded presence, Steven is frequently cast as the quirky best friend, witty sidekick, tech startup guy, middle or upper management, young law partner, resident doctor, or political staffer. He specializes in portraying educated, polished, and emotionally accessible characters with a sharp edge and strong point of view.

Outside of acting, Steven earned his cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell The School in Sherman Oaks to pursue his love of the beauty industry. He also built a successful online presence as a YouTube and social media content creator, generating tens of millions of views and hundreds of thousands of followers across his platforms.

Additionally, Steven lives with Schwannomatosis, a rare neurological condition that causes chronic pain, and uses his platform to advocate for disability visibility and improved care for those with invisible illnesses.
