James finds a book with no words and decides to become a great writer what he discovers along the way is the value of friendship.

Shot in Ganyliel Southern Sudan, Spring 2009, Be Ne Jek Kemal is the "first ever narrative film in the Nuer language". After suffering through over 56 years of civil wars Southern Sudan is on the cusp of total independence. That being said many of the regions in Southern Sudan have been left completely undeveloped. The people in these undeveloped regions all have a dream of community development in order to secure a future for their children in the modern world. They seek education so that they may teach themselves. They pursue capacity building so that they may develop their regions themselves. They want to create their own democracy and national identity. They have a dream of a modern Southern Sudan that they will create by their own mean. Right now they need a little help to get the ball rolling. Our productions company is working with an NGO, PACODES (www.pacodes.org). PACODES is building a library in Ganyliel Southern Sudan in March 2010 and we need your help. Share our film with the world. Help us get it into festivals. We want to use this film as a way of opening a dialog about why education is vital immediately in Southern Sudan. Lets all make the dream of a better Southern Sudan a reality.

Thanks.
